Custom Barn Doors Crafted in Medina – Solid Hardwood & Exotic Construction

Located in our Wadsworth, we specialize in the design and fabrication of heirloom-quality sliding bar doors that serve as the structural anchor for your interior.

We mastered the art of solid-wood surfaces through our signature butcher block Countertops & Surfaces.

Now, we’re taking that same furniture-grade engineering to the vertical plane

THE OHIO PROOF DIFFERENCE

Finally, a Massive Wood Door That Doesn’t Warp. Ohio weather is brutal on wood. Between humid summers and freezing winters, most barn doors start to sag or stick within a year.

At Mr. Countertops, we use the same “Furniture-Grade” engineering we perfected for our signature butcher blocks.

Most Barn Doors Warp. Ours Stay Square.

In Northeast Ohio, the humidity shifts are brutal. A cheap door will sag or stick within six months. We build ours differently.

100% Solid Hardwood

No veneers, no hollow cores, no shortcuts.

Ohio-Cured Timber

We select cuts specifically for our climate so they don’t “move” on you.

The “One-Finger” Glide

We use industrial-grade, soft-close hardware. A door this heavy shouldn’t feel like a workout to move.

We Work With the Wood You Want

Our Signature Collections

The Bookmatched Live-Edge & Epoxy Series

Where Raw Nature Meets Modern Art.

The ultimate showpiece. We select two consecutive slabs from the same tree and “mirror” the grain to create a symmetrical, organic masterpiece. Using jeweler-grade, UV-resistant epoxy, we bridge the natural voids to create a seamless, glass-like “river” through the heart of the wood.

The Modern Industrial Slat

Architectural Rhythm.

Clean, vertical lines meet minimalist luxury. Using Rift-Sawn White Oak or Walnut, we create a sense of height and sophisticated texture. Ideal for high-end home theaters and modern kitchen transitions.

The Artisan Herringbone & Reclaimed “X”

Heritage Refined.

A new twist on a country classic. We use master-craftsman joinery to create intricate patterns that add movement and artisan character. These are heavy, substantial doors that bring the soul of our Medina workshop into your home.

Custom Barn Door FAQ’S

Q. How much does a custom barn door cost?

A. Most single doors run $1,700–$2,500 fully installed. Exotic woods, live-edge slabs, and epoxy inlays will push the price higher. We’ll give you an exact quote after your free consultation — no pressure, no obligation.

Q. How long does it take?

A. Most custom doors are completed in 3–6 weeks. This includes timber acclimation, fabrication, finishing, and scheduling your installation. We’ll give you a firm timeline when you book.

Q. Will the door warp or shift with Ohio’s weather?

A. This is the most common issue with cheap barn doors. We use only kiln-dried hardwoods, internal structural bracing, and moisture-resistant finishes specifically chosen for Ohio’s climate. Our doors are built to stay flat.

Q. Can you do exotic wood species?

A. Yes. We regularly source Sapele, Wenge, Zebrawood, Teak, and other exotic hardwoods for clients who want something truly one-of-a-kind. Bring us a reference photo or idea and we’ll find the right wood for it.

Q. Do you handle the hardware and installation?

A. Yes — everything. We supply and install the track system, rollers, and soft-close hardware. You don’t need to source anything separately or find another contractor to hang it.

Q. Where do you install barn doors?

A. We install throughout Northeast Ohio — Medina, Akron, Canton, Cleveland, Wadsworth, Hudson, Fairlawn, Stow, Strongsville, Wooster, Pepper Pike, Avon, and surrounding areas.
