We fabricated these countertops using full-length staves of Hard Rock Maple. By orienting the wood in an edge-grain layout, we maximize the stability of the boards, preventing the warping and cupping often found in cheap, big-box butcher blocks. These are the perfect choice for the homeowner who wants an organic, “Artisan” feel throughout their entire kitchen, providing a soft landing for dishes and a durable surface for a lifetime of family meals.
